I wish I knew the right thing to say. It sucks in a major way to see the scale jump, no matter what reason. (Although 4 lbs is 14,000 Kcals and I'm pretty sure you didn't eat that much in 24 hours so cut yourself a break).

This bet isn't the end of the world. It was meant to me motivating, not demoralizing. We're all working hard and struggling and you're doing amazing. Nothing - NOTHING - worth it is easy. Nothing.

Did that beautiful baby slide out of your body like a feather? Did your husband fall from the sky and land in a tux on your wedding day? Did you get you get your job by accident? Did you finish your masters in your sleep?

No. Life is hard. THIS is hard.

But you can do it. It's worth it. You're worth it.

You can still do this! Put some new batteries in the scale just in case and see where you are in your TOM cycle. Ovulation can cause big jumps that will leave just as quick as they come.
