Ok, it's been awhile. I know. I compose lots of blogs in my head, but then never seem to be able to clearly articulate my thoughts once it gets time to actually type them out here. But seeing as how I have re-engaged with twitter and am finding my way out of the fog that was the first few months of PEY's life, I think I can manage to keep this blog at least some what updated.
Basically, my non-work time is filled with chewing on PEY's cheeks, and thighs and bulging belly. Because BOY do they taste good!
Yes, I know that every parent believs their child is VERY advanced. But dude, PEY is way more interested in walking around the room then he is with any of the totally lame, baby toys we have. And he is jibber jabbering away, constantly. Granted, I know he is just mimicking the sounds we make, but he has said Mama numerous times, and even said bye bye to his Grammy last weekend. Now if only we could convince him to also drink out of a sippy cup, we would be golden.
If you want to keep him occupied for any length of time, the child is mildly obsessed with the Gerber Banana and Apple Strawberry Puffs. I can keep him entertained for long lengths of time in his highchair with those things around. He just stuffs them in his mouth at the speed of light, and begs for more as soon as they run out (or rather have spilled onto the floor). They are his crack. If he even hears the shaking of the plastic container the child freaks out. He is one funny dude.
Next week we are braving a 6 hour car ride, with what will then be an 8 month old baby, to see our Bradford family. Luckily we are taking Nona with us, and here repertoire of camp songs is seemingly endless. She will have no voice by the time we get there, but the baby is sure to be entertained. Think positive thoughts for us, and maybe say a prayer to the Nap Gods, that PEY will sleep in the car. Here's hopin'!
